Movin' Out!

Ahh, the stress of moving is almost done. Gotta love it. Within the week, we will be looking to have everything moved into our new studio. Then all the new projects begin. John Haldoupis, artistic director at Blackfriars Theatre, is having us design his personal website, so that looks like our big project of the summer. Also we are finishing up the DVD for TLC Adventures in Learning, that is due at the end of June. So it will be heavy crunch time once the move is complete. Gotta pay the bills right? On another note about some things baseball. We are big fans of the Atlanta Braves, and I must say this year they have caught everyone by surprise. Its funny to see how many naysayers there are out there. But you know what this is what it comes down to: Cox, Mazzone, and J.S. Those three have formed the smoothest working environment for not only the players, but for themselves. Just as anyone in the restaurant biz knows, once you find the right ingredients for the right recipe, you leave it alone, and don't mess with it. To their credit, they continue to amaze with their tinkering each year, and their devotion to continue the formula that brings them to the plate come October. The thing that amazes me is also their devotion to "projects". If you have watched the Braves over the last years you know what I mean. Wrecks come in, get polished up, work great, have career years, then they walk away and crash again. Why is that? Simple, its all in the recipe. They expect the best out of everyone, and treat everyone the same, those that don't flow with the program are gone faster than you can spell J.S.'s name. The management doesn't take crap. And what they produce year in and year out proves it. Two "projects" this year are interesting ( I could say three, but Jordan is Jordan). The other night I watched the crazy game against NY, and then watched in horror as Kolb actually saved the game. It was like standing in a room while someone drags the nails across the blackboard,...and you can't do anything about it. I loved watching the shots of Bobby in the dugout, oh was he perturbed. But anywho, my point is this, either Kolb and the other project will find their nitch and climb on board, or they will be gone. And Cox, Mazz, and J.S. will continue to do what they do every year, make everyone else jealous. -ED
